LP Addict
Privacy Policy
Effective August 4, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how LP Addict handles information when you use the app. It applies only to LP Addict and not to other apps published by Justin Willemsen.
Information you add to LP Addict
LP Addict lets you create a vinyl catalog, wishlist, favorites, notes, and related collection details. This information is used to provide the app’s features.
We do not operate an LP Addict account system or store your collection on servers controlled by us. When you choose to connect Discogs, the information needed to import, update, or synchronize your collection is exchanged with Discogs.
Discogs services
LP Addict uses the Discogs API to retrieve public music metadata, including artists, releases, tracklists, formats, labels, and artwork. Discogs may receive technical information normally included with an internet request, such as your IP address and device or request metadata.
If you connect a Discogs account, authentication is handled through Discogs. We do not receive or store your Discogs password. Discogs processes information under its own privacy policy.
Discogs Privacy Policy ↗Camera and barcode scanning
LP Addict requests camera access only when you choose to scan a barcode. The camera image is used to recognize the barcode; the resulting code may be used to search Discogs for matching releases. We do not receive or store camera images.
Subscriptions and purchases
Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment card details. LP Addict may process purchase-history information that is not linked to your identity to verify access to paid features and understand subscription performance.
Apple Privacy Policy ↗Notifications and widgets
If you enable notifications or Home Screen widgets, LP Addict uses those system features only to provide the reminders and collection suggestions you request. You can change notification permissions in iOS or iPadOS Settings.
Data retention and deletion
You can delete collection items and other app data within LP Addict. Removing the app deletes data stored only on that device. Information held by Discogs must be managed through LP Addict’s sync features or your Discogs account. Purchase records retained by Apple are governed by Apple’s policies.
Children’s privacy
LP Addict is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when LP Addict’s features or data practices change. The effective date above will be revised when an update is published.
